Unique features of SSUET Convocation

The 19th Convocation-2016 of the Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET), Karachi, held at the Expo Centre earlier this month, had quite a few unique features in its outlook and presentation.

The most distinctive feature of the convocation was that all the speeches were delivered in the country’s national language, Urdu, for the first time in the SSUET’s history.

The chief guest, Prof. Dr Mukhtar, Ahmed, Chairman, Higher Education Commission (HEC), the SSUET Chancellor, Jawaid Anwar, and Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Jawaid H. Rizvi, delivered their addresses in Urdu which created a happy impact, making every one to feel the importance of the national language.

Another feature which made the convocation different from all the previous convocations was the photo gallery on side walls of the Convocation hall at the Expo Center presenting a soothing outlook of the University.

Yet another unique feature of the convocation was that this year the graduating students entered the hall to the tune of music.

NLA, KPC and Rotary Darakhshan join hands to hold Women’s Day seminar
