Constitution, Justice and Public Trust Essential for National Unity: Speakers

Bazm-e-Mukalma Pakistan organized the 39th Professor Karrar Hussain Memorial Lecture with a question-and-answer session at Rabat Hall, Bahadurabad, on “Lack of National Unity: Causes and Remedies.” Speakers and senior analysts Syed Muzafar Ejaz and Mazhar Abbas said national unity could not be achieved through slogans alone, but required justice, equality, constitutional supremacy, democratic continuity and public trust. They highlighted religious, linguistic, provincial and class-based divisions as major challenges to national cohesion. Mazhar Abbas stressed the importance of institutions working within their constitutional limits, freedom of the press and respect for the people’s right to choose their representatives. The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session on national identity, constitutional supremacy, the political system, provincial grievances and the role of state institutions.

Matric Board Urges Affiliated Schools to Submit Examination Forms Before March 14

Karachi, March 10, 2025 – The Chairman of the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK), Dr. Noveed Ahmed, has once again instructed affiliated schools to ensure that their students submit examination forms before March 14, 2025, for the upcoming annual matriculation exams. Dr. Ahmed emphasized that students who fail to submit their forms on time will not be allowed to appear in the examinations. He further clarified that no school will be permitted to send examination forms after the deadline under any circumstances. Additionally, the board has made it mandatory for schools to submit the examination forms along with complete registration details. Schools failing to comply with this requirement will have their students' results withheld. The BSEK chairman urged all students and schools to strictly follow the given instructions to avoid any inconvenience.

Close coordination between ABAD, cantonment boards sought

By Abdul Qadir Qureshi (Pakistan News & Features Services) The Director General of the Military Lands & Cantonments, Major General (R) Furrukh Rashid, has announced that the building bye-laws in the cantonment areas would be amended in the light of suggestions from the Association of Builders & Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) in order to upgrade them technologically. He made the announcement while talking to a delegation of ABAD, led by its chairman, Junaid Ashraf Taloo, which called on him at his office.
