Police action against drugs, illegal arms in interior Sindh

The Police of different police stations of District Shaheed Benazirabad, on the directives of SSP Tanvir Tunio, raided various places and arrested 10 culprits following recovery of drugs and illegal arms and ammunition and registered cases against them.

In this regard Kazi Ahmed Police arrested accused Ayub Khoso and recovered 1.1 kilogram of charas. 

The Police arrested six accused following recovery of cash and cocks involved in cock fight gambling in village Maal Maher. They were identified as Gul Bahar Umrani, Ashraf Mirasi and Mitha Khan Mirasi. 

During checking at Shahdadpor road, the Gupchani police arrested accused Abdullah son of Abdul Aziz and recovered a pistol with bullets. 

The Airport Police Nawabshah arrested accused Imran alias Bhooro Arani and recovered five kilograms of charas. 

The A-section police arrested Noman alias Nomi Awan near Golimar Phatak and recovered 3 bottles of liquor. They also arrested Ghulam Murtaza in Taj Colony following recovery of four bottles of liquor. 

The Sakrand Police raised a distilled liquor factory near Teen Ghat and recovered large quantity of raw liquor. The operator of factory, however, managed to escape.

Corona field facility at Karachi Expo Centre may admit patients now

By Mukhtar Alam (Pakistan News & Features Services) The 1,200-bed field isolation centre at the Karachi Expo Centre, on April 6, will open its doors for new COVID-19 infected patients of Karachi and other parts of Sindh who will be referred to it by designated tertiary care hospitals, as the diseases infected another 51 people in six districts of Sindh on April 5.  A source in the provincial health department informed PNFS that authorities have decided not to overburden the designated tertiary care health facilities in terms of corona cases further.  The hospitals have now been asked to admit only new severely ill COVID-19 patients or those seeking intensive cares, while the rest will present at the newly established Expo Centre isolation facility, where the Sindh health department has deployed its doctors, paramedics and other human resources, the source added.
