By Abdul Qadir Qureshi (Pakistan News & Features Services) The Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET), Karachi, reopened on August 4 folowing the conclusion of the semester break as well as the Eid holidays and the regular classes have started right away. It may be recalled that the university was closed after semester examinations held in June while their results have already been announced. Meanwhile the process for Admissions-2015 has also started and according to the schedule, the admission test will be held on September 28, 2014. According to a university announcement admission test papers are available at the Bank branch in the university campus. The SSUET proposes to start a new BS programme in Electrical Engineering from the 2015 academic year, subject to approval from the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). By Abdul Qadir Qureshi (Pakistan News & Features Services) The final year’s semester examinations at the Sir Syed University of Engineering &Technology (SSUET), Karachi, are scheduled to start from May 26 and will last for about two weeks. Teaching in all classes has already been completed on May 16 and the ongoing week has been allowed to students for examination preparations. The arrangements for the semester examination are in full swing and they will be completed by May 23. Meanwhile the summer session will start from the middle of June according to the university officials who added that it will be spread over six to seven weeks  where after the new session for all batches will start from August 4, soon after Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
